Responsibilities include:

  • Performing risk assessments
  • Evaluating internal controls
  • Executes process inquiries and walkthroughs with process owners
  • Executing assigned portions of audit programs
  • Preparing accurate and complete documentation that support audit findings
  • Communicating results of audits through clear and concise written reports
  • Participates in audit department continuous improvement including revising existing programs and questionnaires
  • Executes special projects as assigned
  • Maintains schedules to assure deadlines are met
  • 40-50% travel required (domestic and international)


Required qualifications include:

  • An undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university (where applicable)
  • Actively pursuing the CPA designation if an accounting graduate (having passed some parts of the exam)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Works with and through others to meet expectations and goals
  • Ability to adapt to change
  • Maintains a positive attitude and working environment through organization and communication
  • Ability to simultaneously handle multiple projects, prioritizes tasks, and exercise good judgment
  • Collaborative team member with strong interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to constructively challenge practices and processes
  • Ability to relate to diverse internal stakeholders
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience


Additional preferred qualifications include:

  • Other relevant certifications (CIA/CISA/CFE)
  • An understanding of the Institute of Internal Auditors Standards 
  • An understanding of or prior experience in the energy services industry
  • Experience with SAP
  • Foreign language—written and oral (Spanish, Russian, Arabic, Portuguese or French)


    Candidates having qualifications that exceed the minimum job requirements will receive consideration for a higher level role given (1) their experience, (2) additional job requirements, and/or (3) business needs. Depending on education, experience, and skill level, a variety of job opportunities might be available, including Staff Auditor 2 and Senior Auditor.
