As a Halliburton Senior Information Technology Applications Analyst/Developer you provide a high level of customer support in the software selection-applications process. You are often called upon to be the focal contact point for an application, group of applications, or specific customer group. You must be trained and knowledgeable about all applicable software - proprietary and third-party.


The Sr. SAP Supply Chain Functional Applications Analyst is a high visibility role within IT and is responsible for delivering innovative enterprise solutions in the areas of Procurement and Materials, Inventory Management, Sourcing, Contract Management. This role will require functional knowledge to support existing applications as well as providing innovative solutions to new challenges enhancements. The role requires excellent interpersonal skills in order to establish strong relationships with Procurement and Materials / Logistics Performance Management, Sourcing and Global Materials Management organizations. Role requires understanding of Project Management Methodologies, Software Development cycles and change management.


Experience /Required Skills


  • Skills are typically acquired through completion of an undergraduate degree in CS, MIS, or Engineering and 7 years of related SAP SCM experience in Applications Project / Support which includes experience in requirements gathering, blueprinting, configuration, integration and deployments      
  • Applicant must have acquired either via formal training or on the job development over 10 years of experience in SAP Procurement and Materials, Inventory Management, and experience interfacing systems such as SAP SRM, SAP CLM, eCatalog, eSourcing or the equivalent.
  • Exhibits expert level understanding of SAP configuration, including account determination, conditioning technique for price and output determination. Has gained an expert level of understanding on the integration of MM to the other modules such as Finance, Production Planning, Sales and Distribution and Logistics.
  • Expert in Materials Requirement Planning, Sales and Operations Planning, Inventory forecasting and Intercompany PO/SO processes.
  • Expert understanding of all master data objects and functionality in SCM, such as and not limited to materials, bills of materials, vendors, customer master, EDI relationships to business partners, info records. Understanding of batch management and serialization.
  • Applicant will have a proven track record providing solutions to complex business challenges for Supply Chain processes involving SAP and non-SAP application components, as well as Supply Chain processes with tight integration to Finance.
  • Must have experience  and understanding of SOX and Segregation of Duties required
  • Responsible for project deliverables, requirements gathering, functional designs, estimates and solution delivery.
  • Most possesses excellent verbal and written skills  
  • Must possess strong organizational skills and be task driven  
  • Applicant with the ability to read and debug SAP code is preferred.
  • Application with Supply Chain mobility experience is preferred
  • Applicant with supply chain business domain knowledge / experience preferred.
  • Application with SAP certification in MM  SCM is preferred


Skills are typically acquired through completion of an undergraduate degree in

  • CS, MIS, BA or Engineering and 7 years of related experience or through 11 years of software development in Systems Development and/or Applications Support which includes experience in Analysis, Design, Programming, Product Selection, Support and/or Maintenance.
  • Good knowledge of functional area and associated applications and information technologies.
  • Computer skills are well developed with capability to perform analysis and develop relatively complex applications.
