Under general supervision, responsible for developing and implementing global and business unit strategies, programs, policies and processes for global Radiation and Explosives safety and regulatory compliance. This role provides an exciting and challenging opportunity to interact with government agencies and work alongside the industry’s leading scientists, engineers and business leaders.


•Serves as the technical or procedural expert to other functional and operational counterparts.

•Monitors and improves processes for alignment with applicable standards.

•Ensure License to Operate in all Radiation and Explosive matters.

•Monitors performance using data analysis and identifies and communicates best practices throughout business units.

•Introduces programs and processes to drive continuous improvement.

•Manages direct reports that support a global Radiation and Explosive workforce including standardization, internal auditing, dosimetry monitoring, training and implementation, reporting, plan development and implementation.

•Position is of high responsibility and directly interfaces with and represents company to regulatory agencies.

•Liaison and direct interfaces to global leadership.

•Provides varying levels of leadership, supervision and support including technical advice, data interpretation, and personnel development.

•Requires a proactive approach in researching and understanding compliance, reviewing incident investigation reports, and advising on corrective actions.

•Maintains good working knowledge of health, safety and environmental requirements.

•Participates in industry associations as a representative of the company.

•Role has budgetary responsibilities.


Education and Experience:

•Undergraduate degree in HSE Related field, Science, Engineering or Business Management

•Requires 10 years of relevant experience with up to 3 years in HSE Management

• Minimum five years’ experience in leading and managing a team of technical experts preferred

•Radiological Health Physics, Occupational Health and Safety or Industrial Hygiene preferred

•Professional registration or certification such as Certified Health Physicist (CHP) preferred

•Master’s Degree in Radiological Health Physics or related discipline strongly preferred

•Experience within Oilfield Services Industry preferred

•Radiation or Explosive regulatory experience preferred

•Strong interpersonal skills and oral and written communication skills critical to role

•Comfort and competency in delivering impactful presentations to Company leadership

•Analytical thinker who can draw sound business conclusions from multiple sources of information

•Proven communicator and collaborative team player who has worked across functions in a large organization
