Under general supervision, applies knowledge of Company Open Hole & Seismic Wireline technologies to independently provide all wireline services and tool operation to customers at the well site. Responsible for most complex drilling scenarios, highly visible to clients and special projects with high complexity. Applies engineering, mechanical, geological, and geophysical principles to articulate complex data interpretations to clients from proprietary software and coaches clients fully through expected outcomes of various drilling scenarios independently. Integrates understanding of Company business, operational procedure and serves as a liaison in collaborations with other service lines to provide guidance to customers. Provides guidance to junior wireline field professionals on delivering less complex services and tool operations to customers. While conducting work at the well site; supervision is minimal and is deemed actual site supervisor for up to as many as 10 subordinates (General Field Professional, Sr-L&P Field Professional, Field Prof, Assoc-L&P, Operator Asst I-L&P, Operator Asst II-L&P, Svc Operator I-L&P, Svc Operator II-L&P, Svc Spec I-L&P, Svc Spec II-L&P, and Svc Supv III-L&P). While not at customer well site, maintains wireline tools and equipment for the purpose of data acquisition. Up to 25% travel to customer job sites.




Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math and 5 years of progressive post-Bachelor’s experience in job offered or related experience in Open Hole & Seismic Wireline field operations.


Must have 5 years of experience with the following:

  1. Analyzing data to confirm readings and out puts are accurate and within specified tolerances, specific data to include: downhole fluid analysis for water, saltwater, and hydrocarbons and well pressure transient. 
  2. Performing all pre-job planning & preparation of all seismic tools, and run tools on location;
  3. Collecting data and providing a Wireline Log for the customer using logging software;
  4. Reviewing seismic reports with customers on-site;
  5. Planning individual work days, and job site placement of equipment on land and offshore platforms & Rigs; and
  6. Using open hole wireline crew and logging tools with respect to functioning equipment like hydraulic motors, electrically powered downhole tools, up-hole compressors, and air gun arrays.
