Responsible for general set up and maintenance of the topology for the entire RTS landscape


Expertise/ Skills:

  • 5+ years managing clustered services, distributed systems, production data stores on physical and virtual servers
  • Have experience in one or more scripting languages
  • Have familiarity with monitoring concepts
  • Have past experience performing system updates without scheduled downtime (rolling updates)
  • Have experience with security management and role-base access control (RBAC)
  • Need to be comfortable with Linux & Windows environments
  • Must be able to work from the Linux command line



  • Responsible for implementation and ongoing administration of the IT infrastructure with a focus on the OS, network, and server resources
  • Troubleshoot production issues that may involve many interconnected resources
  • Work with data center operations for OS and application patching, network and firewall changes, etc.
  • Aligning with the systems engineering team to propose and deploy new hardware and software environments required for IT and to expand existing environments
  • Collaborate with application teams to install operating system, updates, patches, software version upgrades when required
  • Work with data center monitoring team to set up and tune OS and application monitoring and alerting


Additional skills:

  • Good virtualization management skills
  • “Big Data” environment management
  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as Cassandra or MongoDB
  • Exposure to DevOps solutions such as Puppet, Chef, Ansible, etc.
  • Familiarity with containerization solutions like Docker or LXC
  • Log aggregation tools such as Splunk or ELK


Minimum Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or similar discipline, and 7 years of related experience or through 11 years of software development.  Completion of a graduate degree in Computer Science or similar discipline (optional).
