The succesfull applicant will Lead and execute programs as required, by establishing project development plans and approving design documents that follow HSE processes. Provides engineering guidance and uses advanced engineering techniques and proposes new technologies to address unique system needs. Collaborates with other engineering disciplines about standards and techniques for calculations. Updates processes, procedures, and calculation tools for general use. Applies industry standards and regulations in design, testing and evaluation. Delivers innovative IP recommendations and reviews technical papers. Provides technical expertise to meet internal and external customer needs and requirements. Promotes and contributes to a cohesive team environment and maintains open lines of communication with all levels of the organization. Represents Halliburton in professional societies in area of specialization.


  • Support all aspects of electronic new product development;
    • Assembly of prototype circuits, wiring assemblies and testing systems
    • Evaluation and Testing of electronic systems at all stages of development
    • Troubleshooting of development issues
    • Carry out Research into suitable components and design concepts for a given product
    • Carry out elements of Electronic, Electromechanical and Software/Firmware design
    • Participating and facilitate electrical Design Reviews
    • Create Test Instructions and Test Reports
    • Create Product Support Documentation
    • Maintaining Project Files
    • Configuration management all product levels
    • Keep current with advances in high temperature electronics
    • Creation of new Intellectual Property
  • Product Line Maintenance support;
    • Product Support to Operations
    • Product Support to Manufacturing
    • Troubleshooting of operational issues
    • Product lifecycle improvements

  • Qualifications
    • Skills acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline and seven years of related experience. Completion of a Masters in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline is preferred.
    • Must be able to demonstrate skills in the following areas:
      • Analogue/digital electronics principles
      • Instrumentation and control
      • Software development
      • Embedded system
  • Must be able to demonstrate experience in the following areas:
    • Soldering
    • Troubleshooting of electronic system problems
    • Electronic circuit and PCB design
    • Software development for PCs and embedded systems
    • Specification of electromechanical systems
    • High temperature and rugged electronics
    • SolidWorks/AutoCAD
    • Oilfield electromechanical system design
