The Trade Loan analyst is required to have a deep understanding of Lubricants Customer Policy (investment section) & Trade Loan policies and of the relevant systems and tools.
The Trade Loan analyst supports and leads Trade Loan Management process by calculating and evaluating Trade Loans, submitting proposals for authorisation, evaluating trade finance performance and supporting the commercial evaluation. The Trade Loan Analyst also controls and validates the received data, ensures that the requested change is aligned with BP Delegation of Authority and with the Lubes Customer Policy. The Trade Loan Analyst reports as per the escalation matrix if any discrepancy in the data or process GAP may be identified.
First point of contact for BP for any written form of enquiries from both new and existing customers and consumers or by internal customers within the BP Businesses.
Provide accurate information to both business customers and support teams through the correct use of all information technology systems.
Develop and maintain a professional working relationship with internal and external stakeholders.
Prepare & submit trade loan proposals for review.
Ensure that Trade Loan proposals are compliant with BP financial guidelines and TL Policy (eg IRR, Credit Risk, NHF, DoA)
Ensure Credit risk relating to trade investments are highlighted
Input and maintain Trade Loans data in local ERP and other relevant systems.
Provide Trade Loan data input for the RF and Annual plan process for review
Responsible for AOR reconciliation relating to customers with trade loans to ensure correct representation, coupled with the raising of invoices, credit notes and liquidated damages where appropriate.
Responsible for monitoring Trade Loan fulfilment & periodic credit and rebate calculations where applicable, using and preparing MI.
Calculate of SG interest payments for Review and Approval.
Liaise with Cash and Banking team to ensure that payments are made to customers when expected.
University/College degree preferably in Economics.
Essential experience and job requirements
At least 2-3 years experience in financial performance analysis
Interpersonal and communicational skills
Time management and organisational skills
Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills
Strong analytical and Excel skills
Fluent English knowledge

Desirable criteria & qualifications
Second European language knowledge is an advantage.
