Duties:             Architect next generation of multi-tier data virtualization, data integration and data science platform to integrate Landmark and other Exploration and Production (E&P) industry data. Collaborate with other senior team members to define and evolve the overall architecture of the system. Implement data management workflows including data load, data export, quality control/assurance, Data Transfer, Search, Spatial enablement, authorization, entitlement, E&P viewers etc. Lead a team of 6-10 developers to design and implement software solutions for E&P domain including Borehole data management, Seismic data management, Seismic Interpretation, Master Data Management, Well Planning, and Well Production. Create E&P Deployment blueprints for customer deployments. Write specifications for technical product requirements and design documents to aid in project estimates and planning. Design and develop E&P software using object oriented technologies in Java and C++. Use Agile methodologies for software development. Write quality software adhering to documentation and coding standards. Perform code reviews of peers and the junior developers. Perform first level system documentation on completed tasks. Incorporate reliability and project management techniques in all job processes. Challenge the software delivery process to deliver fit for purpose software in a timely manner. Provide expert guidance to software developers and support staff. Plan products for a complete software system. Up to 10% travel to client sites to assist with site assessment, deployment and requirements gathering.        


Requirements:  Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or Electronics Engineering and 10 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a related Exploration and Production (E&P) product development position with an emphasis on Data Management.


Must have experience with the following:


 1. 10 years of Software development and architectural experience in E&P domain with knowledge of OGP/EPSG CRS system, Energistics units and PPDM model

2. 10 years of experience with E&P Workflows like Master Data Management, BHDM Solution, Results Data Solution, and SDM (Seismic Data Management) solution;

 3. 5 years of experience coordinating and working with medium size teams (up to 10 people) across different geographic areas;

 4. 1 year of experience with industry standard E&P products including: OpenWorks, Finder, CDS, Seabed, Recall, LogDB, DecisionSpace and GeoSciences;

 5. 1 year of experience with E&P Data integration/federation tools including: PowerHub, OpenSpirit and ProSource; 

6.  1 year of experience with next generation data integration technologies including: Analytics, Data Integration, Kettle, ADT, ETL, Google Protobufs, Apache Thrift and JBoss Teiid; and

7.  1 year of experience with advanced architecture knowledge including: design principles, out of process communication, Service Oriented Architecture, and RESTful APIs.
