  • Plans and directs Operations and Maintenance (O&M) and Budgeting activities for a 200 MW pumped-storage hydroelectric powerplant and several trans-mountain water diversion tunnels and canals.
  • Ensures that water and power delivery orders are filled.
  • Provides technical and supervisory direction to approximately twenty local O&M staff members under the general direction of the Eastern Colorado Area Office O&M Chief and Deputy Chief.
  • Ensures that appropriate preventative maintenance activities are performed and tracked (using MAXIMO 6.0) in compliance with NERC/WECC rules.
  • Ensures the safe operation of the facilities in compliance with Reclamation Safety and Health Standards, and OSHA.

DEFINITION OF SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: To meet specialized experience, your resume must describe experience that demonstrates the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities as follows:


GS-13: Experience managing, performing in a lead role, or providing onsite technical supervision for operations and maintenance activities at a hydroelectric powerplant, an electric generation powerplant, or a medium to large size industrial plant. Experience should demonstrate technical competency in either electrical or mechanical trades pertinent to powerplants, and proficiency in supervising a workforce of professional, craft, and union workers.

  • This position has been designated as a National Security (Non-Critical Sensitive) position and requires a Secret clearance.  This requires a higher-level Tier 3 (ANACI) investigation.  You must successfully obtain and maintain this clearance as a condition of employment.  You will be required to undergo and successfully pass a reinvestigation of your background every 5 years.
