Role synopsis

The Sourcing Coordinator supports various BP businesses with a range of sourcing and contract management activities. The ideal candidate has procurement experience and at least a basic understanding on the high level sourcing process coupled with a strong commercial orientation and communication skills.

Key accountabilities

  • Identify and evaluate sourcing opportunities
  • Screen suppliers as per the related guidelines
  • Support the development of source selection criteria
  • Support the supplier selection process
  • Build and manage e-sourcing projects & events (RFX)
  • Manage the relevant supplier interactions and relationship throughout a sourcing project/task lifespan
  • Negotiate relevant contract terms with suppliers
  • Develop contract content based on templates and manage the approval process
  • Manage contract modifications
  • Coordinate the PO only business process
  • Support reporting requirements
  • Develop a solid understanding of supply agreement templates along with basic understanding of legal concepts related to category guiding principles
  • Effectively represent IP to the business and suppliers
  • Take ownership and accountability for assigned queries and projects
  • Take an innovative approach and support/lead continuous process improvement initiatives
  • Comply with BP’s Code of Conduct, taking a professional and disciplined approach to working with suppliers, to ensure transparency, consistency and fairness. Our procurement and supply chain management principles are always applied within that framework and in the context of relevant laws and regulations
  • Comply with all BP’s Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) policies and procedures
  • Adhering with the tasks outlined in the EMS/QMS Systems of EBSC

Essential Education

  • University/College level degree
  • Fluent English language knowledge

Essential experience and job requirements

  • Min. 1-2 years of professional experience in the field of procurement
  • Experience with e-sourcing processes and tools (especially Ariba) is an advantage
  • Proven experience in dealing with external partners, suppliers or customers
  • Strong relationship skills and good overview of procurement process and requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal and team skills
  • Exceptional and consistent communication skills
  • Strong motivation to learn and develop sourcing knowledge
  • Proficient desktop computing experience
  • Result-oriented approach
  • Exceptional problem solving skills
