External Description:

 Primary Purpose:
   
Serves an integral part of the HR and staffing team as a client contact for HR and staffing issues, products and services. Provides support and assistance in areas of recruitment, employee relations and HR planning & administration. Works collaboratively with clients to identify workforce/staffing issues and to meet clients internal and external workforce needs in a timely manner.

Responsibilities / Duties:
 
• Partners with clients to develop strategies to fill job vacancies and meet client's staffing needs while ensuring client adheres to EEO/Affirmative Action, labor and other employment laws.   Initiates and maintains recruiting contracts with recruiting vendors.

• Partners with Corporate clients on HR issues related to hiring, on-boarding, employee relations and separations.  Provides guidance and policy interpretation on Human Resources policies and procedures.

• Analyzes the Company’s Affirmative Action Plan (AAP) as it relates to the hire/movement of minorities, women and the disabled; provides guidance and counsel in achieving affirmative action goals to ensure compliance with state and federal laws. Uses workforce reports to ensure AAP strategies are targeting appropriate recruiting groups.

• Enhances company’s recruiting reputation within the San Diego community through participation in campus recruiting and targeted job fairs.

External Qualifications:

Qualifications:

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree and/or coursework in Human Resources Management or related field. 

• 3 years experience in HR and Recruitment including experience with HRIS systems such as payroll and ATS.

• SHRM or related certificate preferred.

• Must have above average  communication skills including verbal, written and presentation.

• Must have intermediate  computer skills including MS Office programs.

• Must have exceptional customer service skills ensuring manager’s needs are being met or addressed.

• Must be politically astute and able to handle conflicting interests.

• Must be able to acknowledge and expose all sides to issues and facilitate a resolution.

• Musts be able to maintain confidential information and remain professional at all times.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to work in an office environment including sitting at desk and walking to meetings.  Must be able to lift 25 lbs. four times a year in associating with Recruiting fairs along with standing for prolonged periods of time.
