Lead Naval Architects/Structural Engineers -
Duties:
Lead a team of Engineers to objectively perform plan approval for mobile offshore drilling units, floating offshore installations, production facilities, sotrage installations and offloading vessels to include the review of design and construction drawings, supporting calculations, global strength and fatigue analysis, dynamic load analysis and spectral fatigue assessment.
Should have good understanding of Performing scantling calculations (in accordance with MODU Rules and FOI Guide), independent structural finite element analysis (FEA) and hydrodynamic analysis including proposing alternataive approaches to problems encountered during plan review and make recommendations for changes in methods, procedures, and/or design. This position will interact with clients on an ongoing basis to perform Class and other third party verification e.g., Certified Verification Agent (CVA). Knowledge on approving drawings and construction details and client suite of SESAM programs is a plus.
Qualifications:
Graduate degree is required (Masters degre preferred) in Naval Architecture/Structural Engineering. At least 7 years minimum experience in performing similar work is required.
